Their range is limited only by the presence or absence of satellite communications at a specific location, and in addition, alarms with a satellite notification system can provide the owner with accurate information about the location of his car and its movements.
WHAT FUNCTIONS SHOULD BE? Two-way communication with the machine – provide communication up to 2000 meters between the remote control and the alarm. As a rule, this is the maximum distance in the open air without interference. If there are high-rise buildings or towers nearby, the range can be halved. In the conditions of a modern city with high radio noise, the maximum distance for receiving notices on a key ring about what is happening with a car is about one kilometer. Autostart – engine start with remote control on cars with manual transmission and automatic transmission. It directly affects the price, but I advise you to choose an alarm with this function. It is very convenient in winter when you can start the engine from home, which reduces the warm-up time of a cold car. Allows you to set autostart for a certain time and maintain the optimum temperature in the cabin. Turbo Timer – the system monitors the engine rpm while driving and remembers them. When the car is armed, the duration of engine operation depends on the mode in which the car was operated before the alarm was turned on: driving at high revs – the control time can reach 6 minutes, quiet movement – 1-2 minutes is enough. Turbo timer works after setting the car under protection, i.e. after removing the key from the ignition, the motor continues to operate the control time. Suitable for owners of cars with turbocharging. Programming features – allows you to use additional features for the convenience of users. For example, you can configure the opening of the trunk without opening the doors, monitor the status of the battery, engine temperature and air in the cabin. A very convenient feature is the search for a car in the parking lot or the function of automatic door closing at a certain speed. The first thing to notice when choosing a car alarm is the range and the presence of the autorun feature. Do not demand too much from the car alarm – it should not resist the attempt of theft, its function is to notify the owner about what is happening with the car.
